The Official College of Aeronautical Engineers of Spain (COIAE) will hold a presentation on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, through its Sustainability Committee. This presentation is part of the proposed objectives to highlight the progress, challenges, and commitments of the aeronautical sector in the field of sustainability.
Therefore, the virtual conference "Teruel Airport: Aerospace Sustainability Strategies" will be held on June 10th at 6:30 p.m., and will be given by Alejandro Ibrahim Perera.
Alejandro Ibrahim has been the General Manager and Director of the Teruel Airport Consortium since its opening. He holds a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Madrid (UPM) and has an extensive and prestigious professional career in leading aeronautical companies.
The presentation will focus on providing an overview of the sustainability strategy implemented at Teruel Airport. The environmental sustainability measures of the companies operating at Teruel Airport will be explained, such as the company responsible for vertiports and the future hangar that will allow the construction and operation of HAPS steerable aircraft. Furthermore, Teruel Airport generates green energy through its photovoltaic plants to provide sustainable electricity to the entire airport facility. Another important aspect of sustainability is the Teruel Airport is a driving force for employment throughout the province, generating more than 700 jobs through its economic activity and expected to reach a thousand jobs in the coming years.
