The construction of the new warehouses for drone technology and logistics Teruel Airport begins

On July 11, 2023, the execution of the contracts for the projects and warehouse works in the southern zone and a 5,000 m2 warehouse began. Both projects and work have been awarded to the UTE URBIALBA - EMIPESA and will have a 10-month execution period. In the first 2 months the projects will be drafted, and once they have been reviewed, the works will be carried out for a period of 8 months.

The work on the warehouse in the southern area consists of the demolition of the existing buildings, the adaptation of the plots, and the construction of a 1,500-square-meter warehouse with accesses, urbanization, connections, drainage, and facilities. It has been awarded for an amount of 1,289,895.00 euros (VAT excluded).

This new ship will allow the start of a new activity to be developed at the airport facilities, such as everything related to drone technology, an activity currently under development that will allow the installation of a new company at the airport.

The 5,000 m2 warehouse, which will be located in the industrial estate, will have dimensions of 50 x 100 meters. The warehouse will have a metallic structure, composed of porticos aligned with the access and rear façades, and straps that stabilize it, as well as an enclosure with a tongue-and-groove sandwich panel bolted to the structure. It has been awarded for an amount of 1,749,601.11 euros (VAT excluded).

The construction of this ship is due to the demand for spaces for the storage of aeronautical logistics parts by companies in the sector. This new warehouse joins the existing ones at the airport of 900 m2 and 2,000 m2 and intended for the storage of aeronautical material.

The Management of both works, control and surveillance and health and safety coordination will be carried out by the company AGORA, INGENIERÍA, SERVICIOS Y PREVENCIÓN, S.L. for an amount of 103,886.00 euros (VAT excluded).
