Teruel Airport puts out to tender the work for closing the medium voltage ring

Anillo-MT

The Teruel Airport Consortium continues to improve its facilities with the publication on the Public Sector Procurement Platform of the project and construction work for the completion of the medium-voltage ring.

Currently, the airport has a network of twelve transformer substations to supply electricity to the various infrastructures and facilities located within the airport grounds. Furthermore, the construction of new transformer substations is planned in the short term to power the new infrastructure currently under development. The transformer substations are interconnected by a 12/20 kV line.

This line terminates at the last transformer substation installed on it (located in the western area of the airport), meaning that the medium-voltage line is not currently complete in a ring.

The purpose of this project is to carry out the necessary work, supplying and installing the corresponding equipment, to complete the medium-voltage line that connects the airport's transformer substations in a ring, so that in the future all transformer substations can be supplied from both sides of the line. The work to be carried out will consist of making the necessary adjustments to two existing transformer substations and connecting them by extending the existing power line. It will not be necessary to install a completely new transformer substation to close the loop; work will be done on two existing substations.

The following image shows a sketch with the location of the two transformer substations to be connected. The substation located in the westernmost area is designated CT1, and the substation located in the northernmost area is designated CT2 (this nomenclature will be used from this point forward to define the work to be carried out at each of the two substations).

The planned execution period for the contract is four (4) months, divided into two (2) stages:

- Stage 1: Drafting the Project according to the specifications established in the tender's specifications. The maximum time allowed for drafting the project is one (1) month.

- Stage 2: Execution of the work according to the Project drafted in Stage 1, with an execution period of three (3) months.

The tender budget is €195,000 (excluding VAT), and the deadline for submitting bids is April 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

The development and improvement of facilities continues to strengthen the aerospace ecosystem at the airport.
