The Teruel Airport continues committing to sustainability

Teruel Airport continues to bet on the use of renewable energy in its facilities. That is why it has just been awarded to the company IMESAPI, S.A. the new 500 kW photovoltaic plant. It has been awarded for an amount of 423,490.66 euros (VAT excluded) with a term of 6 months. Implementation is scheduled to begin in September.

This new facility is added to the existing one with a capacity of 100 kW. This will allow most of the electrical energy consumed in the airport facilities to come from clean energy sources, thus betting on this type of energy within awareness of environmental protection.

The new facility consists of a 506.25 kWp photovoltaic field, comprised of some 1,125 photovoltaic modules, with a unit peak power of 450 Wp. Said installation will consist of five triphasic inverters.

This is yet another commitment to protecting the environment, thus reflecting the management carried out by the entity in this area and which is reflected in the ISO 14001 seal of environmental management.

Its commissioning is expected to take place at the beginning of 2024, as well as the new transformation center that will be installed. In addition, this new facility will be configured to be able to expand its capacity in the future if necessary..
